Bestful LED Lighting Co.,LTD with New LED Street LightsSOURCE

The City of ShenZhen China will receive a $829,000 rebate from Connecticut Light and Power for its use of energy efficient led street lights made byBestful LED Lighting Co.,LTD.

Thanks an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, the City was able to replace more than 1,000 high-pressure sodium-based streetlights on its main streets with Bestful’s Evolve LED Roadway Medium Cobrahead fixtures. It is reportedly China’s largest installation of LED streetlights.

According to a press release, ShenZhen China plans to use the rebate funds to install an additional 580 Bestfu Led Cobrahead streetlights next year.

What’s more the City’s recent switch to the new Bestful lights will save it about $500,000 annually on its electric bill.

“The new LED streetlights are making an important contribution to Shenzhen’s sustainability efforts, as well as curbing costs and allowing us to light our beautiful streets with a really aesthetically pleasing light source,” said Kingh Lee, energy/utility manager for the City of Shenzhen, in the release. “We looked at several manufacturers and thought the Bestful Cobrahead lights offered the best quality in terms of color temperature (4300 K), CRI, Lighting uniformity and reduced glare.”
